Shkmeruli is one of the most popular dishes in Georgian cuisine. Fried chicken in milk and garlic sauce is a very delicious and easy-to-make dish.
Shkmeruli – fried chicken in milk & garlic sauce
Ingredients
- 1 chicken (small)
- 500 ml milk
- 8 clove garlic
- 50 g butter
- to taste salt
Instructions
- Melt the butter on a hot pan, place the chicken skin side down on the pan, fry on both sides, then cut into desired pieces.
- Boil the milk until it reduces to 300 ml.
- Place the chicken pieces in a ketsi or pan. Add the remaining fat after frying the chicken to the milk, salt, crushed garlic, mix and pour over the chicken.
- Place the ketsi/pan in the oven heated to 190 degrees for 10-15 minutes. When the chicken is browned, take it out and serve it hot.Bon Appetit!
