These rolls are very aromatic and tasty. Good for breakfast with a cup of tea or coffee. However, you can also eat it as a dessert. Preparation is quite simple, the main thing is not to let the dough get cold so that it becomes puffy.
Blackberry and raspberry sweet rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup water (250 ml)
- 60 g Margarine (or vegan butter)
- 1/4 cup sugar (50 g)
- 3 cup flour (360 g)
- 2 1/4 tsp dry yeast
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp cold water
filling:
- 50 g raspberries
- 50 g blackberries
- 5 tbsp sugar (120 g)
Instructions
- Place the water, vegan butter/margarine, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and stir. When the butter and sugar have melted and the water is hot enough to scald your hands, remove from heat.
- Mix 2 cups of flour, salt, and yeast in a separate bowl, pour the liquid, add 2 tbsp water, and knead the dough, then add the remaining flour. You may need to add more flour, about half a cup. Cover the dough with a tea towel and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Blend raspberries and blackberries with sugar.
- Roll out the puffed dough to a thickness of about 1 centimeter, spread the berry filling, roll it up, and cut it into 3-4 centimeter thick slices.
- Grease the baking form and spread the rolls so that there is a distance of 2-3 centimeters between them.
- Bake in an oven heated to 190 degrees. It takes about 20-25 minutes.Bon Appetit!
