I’m too late to share this video recipe with you, I made it during fasting, but then I couldn’t edit the video. However, better late than never. Moreover, fasting recipes do not have any cooking restrictions during the not fasting period, so you can use this recipe even now. There is also a non-fasting version on the blog, but today’s version is more budget-friendly and no less tasty.

Walnut croissant cookies (vegan)

  • 300 g flour
  • 100 ml warm water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt


  • 1.5 tbsp sugar
  • 50 g walnuts (ground)


  • Add baking powder to the flour and mix.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together warm water, oil, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  • Add the liquid ingredients to the flour and knead a soft, elastic dough. It will be ready in a few minutes.
  • Filling: mix sugar and walnut together.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface, knead it a little. Divide into 3 equal parts. Roll each part thinly, about 2-3 mm thick. Divide into 8 triangles. On the wide end of the triangle, put 1/2 tsp of filling, roll up from this part.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet (lay baking paper on the plate or sprinkle some flour), put it in an oven heated to 180°C degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes.
