Today I want to share with you an anti-cold tea recipe that I have been making for several years now and it is amazingly effective especially if you take it at the first sign of a cold. Its effectiveness is due to three extraordinary components: ginger, lemon, and honey. Briefly review the health benefits of each of them:

Ginger: contains the substance gingerol, which determines its healing properties – anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant activity.

Ginger is good for relieving/eliminating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, headache, and cold symptoms. Reduces pain caused by arthritis of various genesis, as well as muscle pain after exercise.

Studies have shown that ginger has an antidiabetic effect, it ensures a normal blood glucose level. At the same time, it reduces the amount of low-density cholesterol (the so-called “bad cholesterol”) and triglycerides in the blood. It also positively affects the gastrointestinal tract – accelerating the stomach emptying process, which reduces digestion problems.

Lemon: contains a large amount of vitamin C, the main antioxidant to protect cells from free radicals. Provides hydration, and weight loss, improves skin quality, helps the digestive system, and prevents kidney stones.

Honey: High-quality honey contains antioxidants, one of the most important being flavonoids. It also has an antibacterial effect. Honey helps lower blood pressure, like ginger, it lowers LDL cholesterol (“bad cholesterol”) and increases HDL cholesterol (“good cholesterol”) in the blood. It is a great and very effective way to reduce cough.
