French Hot Chocolate

  • 250 ml milk
  • 125 ml heavy cream (35 % fat content)
  • 230 gram bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


  • Chop the chocolate thinly.
  • Pour milk and cream into a small pot, add vanilla, stir, and put on medium heat. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  • Add the chopped chocolate and stir well until the chocolate is completely melted. If the mass has cooled down, you can return it to the fire for a while.
