Today I wanted to make a dessert, I looked through magazines but couldn’t choose anything… I decided to think of something myself. I got everything that could be used in cake and started making it. I think the “secret ingredient” turned out to be heavy cream. Now I will go to the recipe.

Fluffy and aromatic cake

  • 5 eggs
  • 1.5 cup sugar
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 250 ml matsoni/plain yogurt
  • 130 ml vegetable oil
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tsp lemon zest
  • 3 tsp orange zest
  • flour


  • Beat eggs and sugar together until the mass doubles. Add heavy cream, dissolve baking soda in matsoni/plain yogurt, add it, and beat well. Then pour oil. Mix, when mixed well, add lemon and orange zest.
  • Add flour, enough to make a thin batter. Heat the oven to medium temperature. Grease the baking form with oil and transfer the batter. Bake for about 25 minutes.
