Corn flitters

Ingredients

  • 3 cups corn kernels
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 bunch of coriander
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 80 ml milk
  • 40 g gouda cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • green onion and sour cream (for serving)

Instructions 

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, paprika, salt and black pepper.
  • Add corn kernels, finely chopped coriander, beaten egg, milk, and grated cheese. Mix well.
  • Fry the flitters on an oiled heated pan. Use four tablespoons of the prepared mixture for each flitter. Each side will take 3-4 minutes. While turning, press the flitters.
  • Flitters are ready when they get a nice golden color.
    Serve with sour cream and green onions.
