Soak the dates and almonds in ½ cup of hot milk for 30 minutes.
Transfer the soaked mixture to a blender, add cocoa powder and water, and blend until smooth.
Pour the blended mixture into a saucepan, add the remaining milk and chopped chocolate. Heat over medium-low, stirring constantly until the chocolate melts completely.
