Donuts

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 ml matsoni (or yogurt)
  • 170 g sugar
  • 2 g vanilla sugar
  • 50 g butter

Glaze

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g butter
  • coconut flakes

Instructions 

  • Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until the mass doubles, turns white and the sugar dissolves well. Then mix this mass with dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Melt 50 g of butter and add to the dough, add vanilla sugar, and mix well. Do not knead for a long time so that the dough does not harden.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface, divide it in half, and roll it out to a thickness of half a centimeter. Pour oil into a pot and heat it. Cut out the desired shapes and fry them in oil on both sides. Then transfer to a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter together, stir well. Dip the donuts into the chocolate glaze and sprinkle with coconut flakes.
